"Incredible property!"
We had an amazing time. Everything about the villa was perfect! The staff and cook may have been the best part about the stay. The villa sits on maybe the nicest beach that I have been to. The only problem was we only had a couple of days to enjoy. Next time we will plan for a longer stay. We will definitely tell friends about the Villa. Thank you so much for our experience.

"Amazing View & Great Location!"
This property is magnificent. The location is steps from a huge beach that goes on for miles and miles. The views from the house are amazing and there are multiple seating areas throughout the property. The pool is an ample size and I would recommend getting the food catered during your stay as it is delicious and convenient.

"Fantastic Place right on the beach!"
We were a group of 6 and agreed this was the best vrbo experience we ever had! The Villa Turquoise house was wonderful. Very clean and bigger than expected with many living spaces. The staff was beyond wonderful, the food prepared by the chef was exceptional. We would highly recommend!

"Zanzibar Matemwe - Beautiful house, beautiful beach."
Wonderful villa, beautifully situated - the pool enters the sea .. Everything in the description was true. Large rooms, 3 eating places, large garden. Excellent service, quiet and professional. Pool cleaned daily, night security and you feel very safe (but on the other side of Zanzibar it is safe ) Amazing cook.
Every day we set the menu ..... for the next day and everything was cooked as we wanted.Lucki the service lady was professional She was helpful to everyoneWe had a great time with my friends in this house. "Amazing Luxury Getaway for all ages!"
This property was an amazing, relaxing vacation with a full staff that adheres to covid protocols. It was the perfect vacation with snorkeling, beach and pool swimming, delicious personal chef made meals, beautiful rooms with AC if needed, and a pool table, tv, and WiFi for the kids. We brought family, friends, and kids and everyone had a wonderful time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The amenities are all setup for you so you don’t have to call around if you need anything. Highly recommend!

"This is a very special tropical place you have always dreamed of!"
If you have been dreaming of a colorful, relaxing, luxurious and inspiring getaway, then look no more. This is the place. We fell in love with the Villa Turquoise the moment we set foot in it. The amazing views of the lagoon, the breeze blowing through the house, the beautifully decorated interiors, the generous indoor and outdoor space... everything made it for an unforgettable stay. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children and the setup was absolutely perfect for us, especially having the house fully serviced every day and a talented chef onsite. All the benefits of staying in a resort without the constraints of schedules, dress codes and social distancing. Donna, the house manager, was extremely helpful in arranging transport, boat trips, and Covid-test requirements.
All the staff onsite was extremely friendly, helpful yet discrete. We agreed on the full-board arrangement and Donna made suggestions for fish/seafood based meals which were prepared onsite by the chef. We even took a cooking class with him and it felt like being at home. Matemwe is a great location on the island as it is only a 20min boat ride to the reef neer Mnemba. It's a tiny village that feels quiet and authentic. In the evening, everyone gathers on the beach for fishing and playing football. Lastly, a big thank you to the house owner, who has been extremely patient and accomodating in rescheduling our trip. Due to Covid, it was postponed by a year but it was definitely worth the wait.

"A perfect break!"
Thanks for letting us be in such a beautiful property. Waking up in the morning, while the sun hits the room is marvelous. The staff is very kind and helpful. The chef is so good, that we rarely went out eating… It was a blast to be away of all this strange happenings in Europa these times. We will come back surely - we just have to figure out when...all the very best.

Wir schließen uns den guten Bewertungen an: gepflegte große Villa, mit sauberen Pool und schönem Garten, direkt am Strand. Man kann hier herrlich entspannen und sich verwöhnen lassen.Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Angestellten, die den Aufenthalt unvergesslich machen: ein Koch der alle Wünsche beachtet und spitze kocht, Haushälterinnen, die einem alles abnehmen (putzen etc.), Gärtner, Sicherheitsleute etc. Hier wir perfekt für einen gesorgt und man kann den Urlaub uneingeschränkt genießen.

"Absolutely Phenomenal!"
Upon our arrival, we instantly fell in love with the villa, its serene garden and the beautiful view overlooking the Indian Ocean. The staff took great care of us, immediately offering some snacks and beverages, and maintained a level of excellence during the rest of our stay. The rooms and the pool were cleaned on a daily basis and the house manager, Donna, was always available to arrange local activities such as a visit to Stonetown.
We were also able to experience the amazing coral reefs around Zanzibar, both with the Safari Blue trip (recommended!) and with the boat that is shared with the neighbouring villa (the skipper took us to a beautiful reef near Mnemba). Whether we went on a day trip or just chilled at the pool, we could always count on the chef to prepare exceptionally good food using local fresh ingredients. We just could not be more happy with our stay here.

"Perfect Family Vacation"
We are a family of 8 who live in different countries and wanted to come together in one single place before visiting the National Parks in Tanzania. Having chosen Zanzibar and specifically Villa Turquoise was an excellent decision. The house is very clean, the staff is very friendly and professional, excellent food, the beach almost private and having a boat at the Villa to go to the island, made our vacation amazing.
The house has plenty of space but has special areas such as the terrace and the pool that created the perfect environment to spend time together as a family, including the long and fantastic conversations during meals. Relax and great time in Zanzibar. They organized a tour to Stone Town with a very professional guide that showed the city to us and all the nice places that it offers, including the old churches, the history, the markets, and for sure, where Freddie Mercury was born.

This place couldn't be more perfect. I enjoyed every moment of my stay.. The pictures don't do the property justice. We were blown away from the views as soon as we entered. The house is fully staff and each staff member was beyond helpful. The house manager Donna was also very accommodating and personable. She made sure every request was fulfilled. The house itself is very spacious. We were a group of 9 women and had more than enough space. The chef prepared delicious meals daily.I highly recommend this property!. I cannot wait to return.

Wir waren mit unseren vier Kindern in der ersten Septemberwoche in der Villa Turquoise. Dieser Aufenthalt ließ keine Wünsche offen. Das Haus ist grandios, der Pool herrlich und sauber, die Lage direkt am Strand atemberaubend. Der Koch ist hervorragend, berücksichtigt jeglichen Essenswunsch. Die Angestellten sehr freundlich und vor allem diskret im Hintergrund. Donna organisiert alle Arten von Aktivitäten. Was uns besonders gut gefallen hat war die Tatsache, dass der Strand vor dem Haus überhaupt nicht touristisch ist. Man sieht eher Einheimische, die fischen oder mit dem Roller vorbeifahren, aber auch das nur wenig. Alles in allem eine Woche, wie man sie sich schöner nicht erträumen könnte! Vielen Dank Bart

"Perfect family-friendly beach villa"
The location is amazing. The beach is on the doorstep! The villa is huge giving more than enough space for two families with kids. The staff is very attentively and friendly with the kids. We would rate the cook two Michelin stars. The house and the pool is being cleaned every day. We could get fresh towels whenever we want. Every wish was fulfilled. We even had a boat to bring us to Mnemba Island for snorkeling.

"This villa is a pure wonder, and it’s staff made our stay just perfect. It is perfectly maintained, clean and beautiful. "Spacious property in paradise!"
Our Spring Break could not have been better and this property made it all possible. As two couples traveling with two children, the stunning location and amiable staff made each day very easy. Working with the estate manager, we easily arranged for a number of outings, excursions, and other details -- not to mention the amazing food prepared on site by the talented chef.
The design and arrangement of the property make this ideal for larger groups, as no one will ever feel crowded. I wouldn't hesitate to book this exceptional location again. Highly recommended..

"This is a very special place!"
Two, widely traveled, couples spent a week here after a safari in Zanzibar. The accommodations, and the location, are stunning. This is a great Villa if you want total luxury, while also being integrated into the day to day activities of an authentic small town. The photos do not capture the wonder of Matemwe Beach. Each day, women dressed in wonderful African garb would spend low tide searching for dinner. Men would use a locally crafted spear gun find fish for market. And at 4:00 p.m., local school children would come to the beach and use it as their soccer field. We loved all of this. At low tide, we joined the locals and walked to a barrier reef. It was a grand adventure. At high tide, we swam in some of the warmest, and most beautiful water, you will ever see. The Villa is fully staffed and many more could have joined us there in comfort.
The chef and service were top notch. There are a couple of other places to eat within easy walking distance, but they are not as good as the house chef. Our toughest decision each day was "where do you want your next meal served!!" We only took one day trip from Villa. We visited a spice farm and had a tour of Stone Town. Stone Town might merit an entire day. So much history and an overwhelming sensory experience. We also used the Villa boat to take a snorkeling trip. In summary, the Villa offers tremendous value; particularly for larger group. It is a beautiful and
relatively quiet beach, with lots of local culture. Day trip to Stone Town is a must. If this sounds like your cup of tea, book it. Particularly great after a Safari experience.

"Romantic or family escape!"
Villa has been for us an amazing retreat - for both - my family who were looking to share happy moments together, as well as for myself and my partner - we discovered this villa as an amazing romantic escape. The feel of peaceful
ambience, beautiful ocean front location, well designed villa facilities surrounded by magnificent garden - certainly made us feel as if we were in Paradise. Rooms are spacious, elegant. Service is impeccable and accommodating to guests’s requests. Definitely would be looking forward to come back..

To make it short: our stay in your house was absolutely superb and we have enjoyed every single minute of it!! we have done extensive walks on the beach and always came back to the villa recognising that it is by far the most beautiful house along the beach. a great big compliment to you, the architect and the builders and decorators that have contributed to it.
Really very nice house with spacious layout and all luxuries one can think of. that combined with that fantastic location and the super friendly and welcoming staff, ... don’t know what to say. just brilliant. donna was very helpful to get started and find our way around and with organising the trips and also made sure that our girls did not spend a fortune on gadgets when they went shopping by themselves.
Lucky and Angel both were angels and did everything we could think of to make our stay as pleasant as it could be and once we had learned about the relaxing massages, lucky was busy all day to massage every one of us almost on a daily base. and khamis fed us beyond we could cope with, only then to get teased by donna that we have not eaten enough! the kids loved it as much as the adults. so thanks you very much letting us stay in your great house. it has been a truly memorable experience and holiday. will certainly recommend it further and sincerely hope to come back one day.

"Amazing!"
The staff was beyond AMAZING. Donna took care of every detail prior to arrival as well as assisting with things after departure. She made herself available via email and WhatsApp at all times of the day with no regard to time zone differences. She coordinated every detail with our visit from transportation, excursions, and daily menus to working with us to coordinate a surprise birthday party with a live band, and beautiful decorations for one of the guest. In addition to Donna, the house staff was superb. Lucky, Angel, Chef and Solomon were wonderful. Chef and Solomon prepared incredible dishes for us daily as well as some late night snacks on request.
Lucky and Angel provided whatever we needed from procuring a limited soda that one of our guest had to have to hand making decorations from fresh flowers for the birthday girl. Both girls always had a smile on their faces at all times. In addition to the house staff, the drivers were always on time and stayed with us at each destination ensuring our safety while traveling to different parts of the island. Even the tour guide, E.D., was wonderful. He stayed with the group
well after the tour ended to make sure we saw and experienced everything Stone Town had to offer. Lastly, in addition to the delightful staff, the house was lovely. From the fresh ocean breeze that blew through the windows and doors during the day to the wonderful garden that surrounded the home, the house was simply magnificent. The house is truly worth a visit.

"There are not enough adjectives to express how wonderful my stay was at this Zanzibar Beach Villa."
Beautiful house, fabulous setting, but much more important, outstanding people. Our experience was awesome start to finish, due in large part to the wonderful communication with the owner and the fantastic staff he has assembled in Zanzibar. Aptly named, Villa Turquoise is a gem of a house; beautifully designed, well maintained, great floor plan, beautiful pool and garden, all set in an extraordinary location on the gorgeous, miles-long white sand beach. Maybe best of all, it is extremely comfortable inside and out.
Our family of eight spent a glorious week here, a perfect complement to our safari adventure. We used every nook and cranny of this lovely home to read, work, nap, play and relax. We snorkeled, walked the beach, visited a spice farm, explored Stone Town and ate very very well. Hanging out by the pristine pool was the preferred activity for the kids......and always our gathering spot at cocktail time. So....to the people: the house manager, Donna, is lovely and organized everything we needed, patiently answered a lot of questions and was always available.
Lucky and Angel are the impressive team that runs this house, always with brilliant smiles. The chef, Khamis, was wonderful, produced an abundance of great meals...and gave three of us a cooking lesson one afternoon. The house has three dining areas, inside and out and we used them all. The twice we ventured down the beach to restaurants made us realize we had much better fare at home. Other behind-the-scenes staff ensured the pool was always sparkling and the garden immaculate. The result of all this attention was that we felt secure, very well cared for....and indulged. In short, this was an extraordinary vacation for our family and Villa Turquoise a wonderful choice.... we’d happily return.
